Hunting Grounds[1] (formerly known as "Howl") are a six piece Australian punk band. They formed at Ballarat High School[2].They used to be named after the Allen Ginsberg poem Howl.[3] They won Triple J's Unearthed High competition[4] with their song "Blackout"[5] which was placed on high rotation on Triple J.[6]
In 2010 Hunting Grounds supported fellow Ballarat act Yacht Club DJs on their Batten Down the Hatches Australian Tour. The tour was sold out and the two bands fronted two encore show's at St Kilda's Prince of Wales Bandroom.
